1. General information

1.1 About Vizzit

Vizzit International AB, hereafter referred to as ”Vizzit” or ”we”, is a Swedish IT company that develops and markets tools for web analytics and maintenance. Vizzit also offers training and other services in these fields.

Vizzit’s tools are used to analyse visitor behaviour and trends, ensure that the content of given websites is current and relevant, follow up on changes in content, as well as identifying and correcting issues such as broken links and pages with no traffic.

1.2 Contents and purpose of this privacy policy

Vizzits considers the right to personal integrity to be of utmost importance. This privacy policy details what data we process, for what purpose it is processed, what legal basis we have for this processing, how long data is retained, who it is shared with, and what your rights are.

The purpose of this privacy policy is to inform you of how we protect the integrity of your information.

Note that the information in this document does not detail how we process information with regards to our clients and users. Such processing is governed by contracts between Vizzit and each respective client. More information is available upon request.

2. Definitions

2.1 Personal data

Personal data, sometimes referred to as ”personally identifiable information” (PII) or ”personal information”, is any information that can directly or indirectly be used to identify a living individual. Examples of information that may constitute personal data are: first and last name, images, video, email adresses, and IP adresses.

2.3 Data controller

Refers to the natural or legal person that is responsible for ensuring that personal data processing is done in a secure manner, and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Refers to the natural person who can be identified using a given set of personal data. For example, if you submit your full name in an email, that name will be considered personal data, and you will be considered its data subject.

4. What information Vizzit collects and processes

What personal data Vizzit collects is dependent on how and for what purpose you contact or visit us. Below, you will find a detailed description of what data is processed:

4.1 Visits to Vizzit’s website, www.vizzit.se

When you visit www.vizzit.se, Vizzit collects your device’s IP address.

4.2 Recruitment

If you submit a CV or cover letter to Vizzit, it may contain personal data, such as:

  • First and last name
  • Email address

When you submit a form via our website, you may be asked to include your name and phone number.

4.4 When you send email to Vizzit

If your message contains personal data, they will be transferred to our internal systems, assuming such an action is deemed to be necessary for processing the contents and purpose of the message.

5.1 Visits to www.vizzit.se

Collected data is used to produce statistics and trend reports on how visitors navigate and interact with Vizzit’s website. This collection and processing cannot be used to identify any natural persons.

The purpose of processing personal data we receive via email depends on the content and perceived purpose of the message. Therefore, each separate instance of personal data submitted this way is assessed separately, and assigned its own purpose for processing. If no legal basis for processing can be determined, the personal data is deleted.

6.1 Visits to www.vizzit.se

Data is retained for the duration needed to produce, compile, and review relevant visitor statistics.

6.2 Recruitment

Data is retained for the duration required to process the relevant job application, or complete the relevant recruitment process.

6.3 When you submit a form via www.vizzit.se

The data is retained for the duration required to process the contents of the form, communicate with the natural or legal person who submitted the form, and honour relevant commitments established with the data subject.

6.4 When you send email to Vizzit

The data is retained for the duration necessary to process, reply to, and carry out any tasks or committments that are a result of the contents of the email message.

7. Legal basis for data processing

There needs to be a legal basis for any processing of personal data. Below, you will find the legal grounds that our data processing is based on.

7.1 Legal obligation

Certain data must be retained due to legal obligations. An example is data necessary to fulfill accounting obligations under the Swedish Accounting Act (1999:1078).

7.2 Consent

Used when you give Vizzit explicit consent to process your personal data. Examples of when it is used: Sending out newsletters, and processing applications for events hosted by Vizzit.

If the processing of your personal data is required for Vizzit to enter into or fulfill a contract with you, that is considered legal grounds for such processing.

Personal data can be processed if there’s deemed to be a legitimate interest for such processing. Examples of legitimate interest include improving the visitor experience on our website by studying visitor behaviour, communicating relevant information to affected and interested parties, and maintaining business relations.

Vizzit does not transfer personal data to third parties, except in the case of legal obligation.

10.1 Right to erasure

Also known as the ”right to be forgotten”. You can, at any time, request that we delete all or parts of your personal data in our systems, assuming that:

  • The data is no longer needed to fulfill their intended purpose
  • The data is used for direct marketing purposes and you oppose such processing
  • The data is used on the basis of legitimate interest, and you disagree with our assessment
  • The data is used with your consent, and you wish to withdraw said consent
  • The data is used without legal basis

A request for erasure may be rejected if there are legal reasons to do so. For example, a request may be rejected if the relevant data must be retained to fulfill a legal obligation, such as in the case of accounting- or tax law.

10.2 Right to rectification

If your personal data contains errors, you can request that those errors be corrected. You can also request to supplement personal data with additional information.

You have the right to request a summary of your personal data that is being processed by Vizzit. This summary contains information such as:

Repeated requests may incur an administrative fee. If a request would incur such a fee, you will be informed of this prior to the summary being produced.

10.4 Right to restriction of processing

You have a right to request that we limit the processing of your data in certain situations. For example, you can request that data that is being corrected or supplemented not be used until the changes have been implemented. There may be situations where a request for restriction of processing is denied, for example if unrestricted processing is required to fulfill a legal obligation.
